Initial Assessment Pathway Phase for Children Exhibiting Behavioural and Mental Distress – A Presentation

On the 24th August 2021 I presented the above at the RCN School Nurse Conference. I explain why my experience informs me to assess “Whether a child can engage with and comprehend their environment”, before any therapeutic action is taken.

Unless we know what the child can, or cannot comprehend any action on our part if built on sand.
