Welcome to my website: www.healthpromotion.uk.com. Health promotion can be a powerful tool in improving both individual and population health. However to be effective it needs to be soundly based and relevant to the needs of the individual or group.
I have a range of speciality areas – these include:
– Community Development and Regeneration
– Child and Adolescent Mental Health – especially early assessment
– Research – evaluations, assessments and programme reviews
– Mentoring and Training – individual and group professional development
– Social Prescribing
– Commissioning development
My approach is an empirical one backed by sound methodology. I like to establish facts, figures and information both technical, local and personal. I like to establish exactly what the problem is. I am sceptical about the application of “solutions” when the problem is poorly defined.
